Shaw’s Returns to the No. 9 Ford at Loudon

No. 9 Team Confident For Strong Finish at One-Mile Track

Shaw’s will make its second appearance of the season at New Hampshire Motor Speedway  his weekend with Sam Hornish Jr. and the No. 9 team. Earlier this year, Hornish finished 29th in the Shaw’s Ford at the one-track after engine issues early in the race. Despite the 29th-place finish, Hornish was confident in the handling of the No. 9 Ford at Loudon and looks for a strong finish in the Shaw’s Ford this weekend.

Hornish will make his 10th Sprint Cup Series start at Loudon this weekend. He has scored two Top-10 finishes at the mile track and earned his best finish of eighth in the 2009 summer race. Hornish also has two starts in the XFINITY Series with one Top-Five and two Top-10 finishes for an average finish of 5.5.

Twisted Tea is giving fans the opportunity to meet Hornish this weekend at the Makris Lobster and Steak House on Friday, September 25 from 7:15 – 8:15 p.m.

“I’m looking forward to going back to Loudon. We had a really good car there earlier this year with Shaw’s on board, but unfortunately, we had an engine issue early in the race. Even on seven cylinders, we were running in the Top-20 for most of the race. This weekend, Shaw’s is back on our No. 9 Ford Fusion, and I’m excited to get a solid finish for them this time around. Each time we go back to these tracks for a second time, we’ve improved the handling of our cars and have ran higher up the leader board.”
