Buescher Finishes Seventh at Kentucky Speedway

SPARTA, Ky. (Sept. 27, 2015) – For the second weekend in a row, Chris Buescher earned a seventh-place finish, this weekend crossing the line in the top-10 at Kentucky Speedway in his No. 60 AdvoCare Ford Mustang. With his 17th top-10 finish of the season, Buescher maintains the lead in the NASCAR XFINITY Series point standings.

The NASCAR XFINITY Series took to Kentucky Speedway on Saturday afternoon for a three round, knockout qualifying session in preparation for the evening’s night race. After advancing to the final round, Buescher landed his AdvoCare Mustang a ninth-place starting spot.

After two early caution periods, crew chief Scott Graves opted to bring Buescher down pit road on Lap 28 for four tires, fuel and a track bar adjustment to help the handling of Buescher’s Mustang.

The Prosper, Texas native lined up 12th for the restart on Lap 32. Buescher remained in the top-15 during the next run, reporting to the team that his Mustang was on the splitter and was snappy loose.

On Lap 88, Buescher visited pit road under caution for four tires and fuel. The team also took a big swing at the handling, with rounds out of the right and left rear along with a track bar adjustment.

Buescher continued to battle a loose race car as the race unfolded. As opportunities to visit pit road came in the second half of the race, Graves brought Buescher down pit road on multiple occasions for more adjustments.

After a caution-plagued ending to the 201-Lap race, Buescher ultimately worked his way up to seventh. With the result, Buescher maintains a 19 point lead over second place in the point standings as the series travels to Dover International Speedway, where Buescher won earlier this season.
