200 LAPS, 300 MILES
This Week’s No. 28 JGL Racing Toyota at Charlotte Motor Speedway: J.J. Yeley will pilot Chassis No. 229 in the Drive For The Cure 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Yeley last piloted this chassis at the first event at Bristol Motor Speedway where he was running inside the top-10 before getting collected in an accident. The JGL Racing team has put a new clip and body on this car as it rolls into Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Yeley at Charlotte:
JJ will be making his 12th career NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Charlotte Motor Speedway to go along with 14 previous starts in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at the Concord, North Carolina track. Yeley has a best finish of third at the 1.5-mile track which occurred during the 2006 NASCAR XFINITY Series event.

Earlier this year, JJ and his No. 28 JGL Racing team finished 21st in the Memorial Day weekend event at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
J.J.’s Thoughts on Charlotte:
“Racing in Charlotte is always special for a few reasons. But biggest of all is that it’s home for most of the race teams and crew members so racing in front of family and friends is always a big deal.

“We are coming off a solid race last weekend in Dover. This JGL Racing team continues to improve and give me better cars each and every week. That in addition to the Joe Gibbs Racing horsepower and pit crew support we have in place has elevated our program to the next level. All of us look forward to a strong showing in front of our home crowd on Friday night in Charlotte.”
Points Battle:
With the 12th-place finish last week at Dover, Yeley remained 12th in the overall NASCAR XFINITY Series drivers’ standings – just five points out of 11th and 81 points out of the Top-10.
