MATT KENSETH, No. 20 DeWALT Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing
Starting Position: 4th
What can everyone expect in tomorrow’s race?
“One thing about Talladega is you always have to expect the unexpected so who knows what’s going to happen. These guys did a great job on our DeWALT Camry, we had decent speed in it today and it drove good yesterday. Just anxious to get lined up for the race tomorrow and see what happens.”

Are you pleased with the starting position for tomorrow?
“Everybody wants to qualify well and try to get an early pick on your pit stall if you can and do all those kinds of things. With this kind of racing you make one wrong move or pick a line to stop moving then you could be 30th before you even know it within a lap. Starting position not super, super important here, but yet I’d rather be toward the front than in the back.”

DENNY HAMLIN, No. 11 FedEx Freight Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing
Starting Position: 8th
How was your qualifying lap?
“It was pretty good. I’m usually way back in the back, so this is a good improvement and we’re going to start in the top-10, so it’s pretty good.”

Is qualifying important at Talladega?
“It’s important definitely. It sets the tone for us early in the race for sure. We’re going to try to stay up front if we can and play the strategy as best we can and try to win the race. That would guarantee us in.”

CARL EDWARDS, No. 19 Subway Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing
Starting Position: 15th
How do you feel about your starting position for Sunday’s race?
“We’ll just go race hard, we’ve got a fast Toyota Camry. It’s just going to be a 500-mile battle. Just have to get our car up to the front, we’ll be in the front half of the field it looks like so we’ll have a shot to go up there and race for the lead. Just try to stay out of trouble – I think it’s going to be a pretty exciting race.”

Can you finally get a victory at a restrictor plate track here this weekend?
“Yes we can, we have a great team. We’ve just been getting faster and faster. I’ve been learning a lot at these places. Obviously don’t have a win here or at Daytona, but I feel like I’ve learned a lot in the last couple years and I feel like we’re due for one.”

KYLE BUSCH, No. 18 M&M’s Halloween Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing
Starting Position: 16th
Were you disappointed not to start closer to the front for Sunday’s race?
“I’ve qualified on one speedway pole in my career and that’s a lot of speedway races. That was probably the worst we ever ran in the race so qualifying doesn’t mean anything. I would much rather we just draw a pill and line up and race them like short track days. We will be just fine. Halloween comes up next week and Sam’s Club is are on our tailgate this week so anybody can go pick up their M&M’s products and get ready for Halloween, I know I am.”

DAVID RAGAN, No. 55 Aaron’s Dream Machine Toyota Camry, Michael Waltrip Racing
Starting Position: 22nd
How was your qualifying lap?
“Qualifying doesn’t mean a whole lot here at Talladega. It’s all depending on where you’re at those last five laps, so confident that our Aaron’s team will have a good day on pit road. I really enjoy this place. We’re going to race hard and we want to be in contention for the win late in the race.”

CLINT BOWYER, No. 15 5-hour ENERGY Toyota Camry, Michael Waltrip Racing
Starting Position: 29th

JJ YELEY, No. 26 Adirondack Tree Surgeons Toyota Camry, BK Racing
Starting Position: 30th

MICHAEL WALTRIP, No. 98 Maxwell House Toyota Camry, Michael Waltrip Racing
Finishing Position: 33rd
How was the car in qualifying?
“I did the best I could do but our Maxwell House Toyota will be just fine for tomorrow. Racing in Talladega is always fun for me. My last win came here and a few years ago I had a chance to win. I know I have a good Toyota for tomorrow and hopefully I can get to the right place at the right time and pull off the big upset.”

MATT DiBENEDETTO, No. 83 Dustless Blasting Toyota Camry, BK Racing
Starting Position: 36th

JEB BURTON, No. 23 Overture Toyota Camry, BK Racing
Starting Position: DNQ
