Texas Tango…Texas Motor Speedway (TMS) marks the second-to-last 1.5-mile track remaining on the 2015 schedule. Justin Allgaier has made three NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) starts at the Ft. Worth, Texas track, with a best finish of 20th. In this year’s NSCS spring race, Allgaier finished 39th after being involved in an accident.
Welcome Texas Lottery…TMS is Texas Lottery’s first and only race of the season with HScott Motorsports. The sponsorship also marks Texas Lottery’s first partnership with Spartanburg, S.C.-based HScott Motorsports. Founded in 1992, Texas Lottery generates revenue distributed to various funds in the State of Texas. Through the Texas Lottery, public education and veterans programs initiatives have benefitted.

See Justin…On Saturday, Nov. 7 from 12 – 12:30 p.m. CST, Allgaier will sign autographs at the Texas Lottery Display located in the TMS midway. On Sunday, Nov. 8, at 10:15 a.m. CST, Allgaier will appear for a Team Chevy Q&A in the TMS midway.
Martinsville II Race Recap…Allgaier made it to the second round of knockout qualifying at Martinsville Speedway and earned the 23rd starting spot for last weekend’s Goody’s Headache Relief Shot 500. During the race, Allgaier was able to come back from being a lap down and survived multiple late-race restarts to bring the No. 51 Auto-Owners Insurance Chevy home to a 13th-place finish.

“Texas [Motor Speedway] gets more and more character as it ages. It definitely makes it more of a challenge for us as drivers, but that makes for better racing for the fans. We have Texas Lottery on the car this weekend, and I want to get a good finish for them since it’s their first time on our car.”

Spartanburg, S.C. native Steve Addington joined HScott Motorsports in January 2014 as competition director and crew chief for the No. 51 Texas Lottery Chevrolet SS. Steve comes to the team from Stewart-Haas Racing, where he spent two seasons as crew chief on the No. 14 team, earning four wins with Tony Stewart. Addington also served as a NSCS crew chief at Team Penske and Joe Gibbs Racing, racking up a total of 20 wins in the series. Addington began his career working on dirt cars and is a former NXS crew chief. Addington resides in China Grove, N.C. with his wife Katie and has three children.
