Derek Scott Jr. Receives NASCAR Approval

Inside Line Promotions – COLUMBIA, S.C. (March 9, 2016) – McCallister Precision Marketing is proud to announce that client Derek Scott Jr. has been approved by NASCAR to compete at several tracks.

MPM learned on Wednesday that Scott Jr. is now eligible to race in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series on tracks with a size of one mile and under with the exception of Dover.

“It’s a big deal that he is approved,” McCallister Precision Marketing Founder Tonya McCallister said. “He has some national experience and now the door is open for opportunities in NASCAR. We’re very excited for Derek and his family.”

Scott Jr., who is a 16-year-old from Franklin, Texas, began his racing career by achieving numerous go kart wins and titles. He also has several starts in a Pro and Super Late Model, including two feature victories in the pro and numerous top-five finishes in both.

“I am elated,” Scott Jr. said. “I can’t believe this opportunity arose so quickly in my career. I owe a lot of thanks to my parents, Alex Query Racing, my fans and of course my sponsors – Sikk Shades by Eddie Bauer Jr., Gary Hendrix and Derek Scott’s Auto Park.

Scott Jr. plans to continue to race pro late model and super late model events throughout the Southeast. He is scheduled to compete at South Alabama Speedway in Opp, Ala., for the 40th annual Rattler Weekend March 18-20and at Hickory Motor Speedway in Newton, N.C., for the 11th annual Easter Bunny 150 with the PASS Series on March 26.
