AquaStar To Sponsor Ryan Truex For the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Race In Kansas

Truex is competing in the #81 Hattori Racing Enterprises Toyota Tundra

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (May 2, 2016) – AquaStar, a leader in branded seafood for more than 25 years, will sponsor the Hattori Racing Enterprises (HRE) No. 81 Toyota driven by Ryan Truex for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event, the Toyota Tundra 250, Friday, May 6 at Kansas Speedway.

“I can’t thank AquaStar enough for their support, they are solidly behind the development of my career,” said Truex. “To have such a quality organization partnering with us is a dream come true for me, I hope to hand them a Victory Lane trophy after the event.”

“AquaStar is proud to participate in the great American pastime of NASCAR motorsports,” said Dirk Leuenberger, CEO and President, AquaStar. “Supporting the Truex family is an honor as they have dedicated multiple generations to the sport and work hard to provide the best possible product and results – which is very much in keeping with AquaStar and our same commitment to excellence.  We wish Ryan good luck and a win on Friday!”

Ryan Truex came up through the NASCAR ranks with flair, winning back-to-back K&N Pro Series East Championships in 2009 and 2010. The 2009 campaign also earned him the Rookie of the Year honors and gave Michael Waltrip Racing its first NASCAR championship. Truex became only the second driver in series history to win both honors in the same year, after only Joey Logano. In 2011, NASCAR honored Truex as one of the “Top 10 Drivers of the First 25 Years of the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East.” He was the youngest racer to make the list.

Ryan is currently competing for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Championship piloting the #81 HRE Toyota.  The team finished second at the season opener at Daytona and is currently tied for 5th in the series point standings.

Truex is the younger brother of Martin Truex, Jr. who currently drives the No. 78 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Toyota for Furniture Row Racing.
