BOBBY PIERCE RETURNS TO MB MOTORSPORTS FOR KANSAS DEBUT

Bobby Pierce returns to MB Motorsports for his Kansas Speedway debut in the Toyota Tundra 250 driving the #63 Vatterott Educational Centers / Champion Brands Chevy Silverado.

“Kansas is the fastest track I will have raced at,” says the 19 year-old driver from Oakwood, IL.  Pierce made three starts in 2015 for MB Motorsports, including his now famous debut at Eldora Raceway, where he won the pole and finished second.  “Vatterott Educational Centers and Champion Brands have partnered with us for this race and we will have a bunch of their people there with us.  I’m very excited.”

Vatterott serves a diverse student population across 21 locations in 7 states, as well as a vibrant online community. Each of these institutions takes pride in serving both the student population and the local communities that help continue the Vatterott tradition.

Vatterott Educational Centers offers a variety of automotive and trades programs including Automotive Technology, Auto Body and Alternative Fuel Vehicle Repair Technician, Commercial Driver’s License, Powersports Equipment & Small Engine Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, Building Maintenance, Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Combination Welding and Wind Energy Technician.  Vatterott also offers programs in the fields of Business, Medical, Technical, Cosmetology, Dental, Legal, Personal Fitness, and Veterinary Technician, as well as many continuing education opportunities. All programs are industry-relevant and designed to support the Vatterott mission of providing career skills for a better life.

Making their debut on the #63 Silverado is Champion Brands.  Founded by Ralph Lowe in 1956, Champion Brands has been a globally recognized industry leader in specialty lubricants for over 60 years. The Toyota Tundra 250 will be broadcast live on FoxSports1, MRN Radio and Sirius Channel 90 Friday, May 6th at 8:30 pm ET.  Three practice sessions will be broadcast on FoxSports1 on Thursday, May 5th at 2:30 ET, 4:30 pm ET and 6:30 pm ET. Qualifying will be broadcast at 4:30 pm am ET Friday.

FAST FACTS:
• The Toyota Tundra 250 will mark Bobby Pierce’ fourth series start and his debut at Kansas Speedway.
• This will be Pierce’ first race of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season.
• Pierce has a career best 2nd place finish in the NCWTS.
