Strong Showing for Ben Kennedy at Iowa Speedway in his NASCAR XFINITY Series Debut
“Man, this was a blast. I had so much fun. We had a fast Ruud Chevrolet. My goal at the beginning of the weekend was to finish in the top 10 and we achieved that. We were just a little too tight there at the end. I learned a ton on those restarts, what to expect throughout the run and how the lines change during the race. We could really utilize that top line as the run went on. I think we were one of the first teams to make that work. Overall, it was a great learning experience and I’m happy to go home with a top 10 finish. I can’t thank everyone at Richard Childress Racing and Ruud enough for this opportunity. It’s been a great weekend.”

Ty Dillon Contends for the Victory in Action-Packed XFINITY Series Race at Iowa Speedway
“I gave it just about everything I could there at the end. We had a heck of a battle for second place with Brad (Keslowski) and I felt I could have run down the 18 car if we hadn’t of had that late caution. Wow what a race. Second place is still a great finish and I know our guys worked hard. They earned it. On Friday in practice we were not where we wanted to be, but we made some great adjustments and moved forward. Today was an overall great day for us, and even better, we got American Ethanol and Kum & Go a solid finish in their home state.”

Brandon Jones Fights Through Adversity To Finish 12th at Iowa Speedway
“All in all we had a great day here at Iowa Speedway. We had a lug nut issue late in the going, and that hurt us little bit. We got deep in the pack when that happened, but we were able to fight back. Just a great effort by this Jeld-Wen / Menards team. I’m looking forward to getting back at it in Daytona. We also get to test at Kansas Speedway this week. We’ve got some things we want to try, so looking forward to getting a new package going and then getting to Daytona. I’m encouraged by our run at Talladega Superspeedway in April.”

Gaughan Battles From The Back of the Field to Finish 15th at Iowa Speedway
“Another top-10 South Point Chevrolet and we didn’t finish there. Things that are out of our control just put us behind the eight ball today. We will come back in July with U.S. Cellular on the car and make things better. We were good not great today. We had top-10 lap times for most runs, we just had too many things not fall our way. It started with the right front tire coming apart, and we battled from there. My guys did an excellent job on pit road today. Great job by our teammate Ty Dillon on the second place finish. We will be back and we will be better.”
