ADVANCE NOTES

Reed at Road America

Reed has competed at Road America twice in the NASCAR XFINITY Series. In 2014, Reed finished 21st after starting 14th. In this race last year, Reed finished 19th after starting 24th.

Riding with Ryan

American Diabetes Association® representative and diabetes advocate Mark Sandler will ‘ride’ along with Roush Fenway Racing driver Ryan Reed during this weekend’s race. The Whitefish Bay, Wis. resident will have his name featured on a decal above the passenger-side window of the No. 16 Ford Mustang.

Like Reed, Sandler lives with diabetes and has learned the importance of managing his health through diet and exercise. He has been involved with the American Diabetes Association Tour de Cure® cycling event for 13 years and has raised a total of $24,992.25 for the Association. For the past six years, Sandler has ridden as a Champion, a participant who lives with diabetes. In 2016 Mark raised a total of $5,102 and served as the route leader on the Tour de Cure committee.

Reed in 2016

Reed is scored 10th in the NASCAR XFINITY Series Championship standings after 22 races. He has recorded three top-10 finishes, led eight laps for the season and has recorded an average finish of 16.9.

Bristol Recap

The No.16 team finished 35th at Bristol Motor Speedway on Friday night after starting 22nd and getting caught up in an incident on Lap 150, forcing the team to replace the entire rear end of the car.

Reed on Road America

“We’ve been really strong on the road courses this season, so Road America this weekend should be no different. This road course is really different from Mid-Ohio and Watkins Glen, but we spent time on the simulator this week preparing and feel really good heading into this weekend.”

Meet Ryan

Reed will sign autographs for fans on Friday, August 26th from 3:30 – 4:15 p.m. CT in Victory Lane, outside of the NASCAR XFINITY Series garage.

Tune-in

Reed and the rest of the NASCAR XFINITY Series will take the green flag from Road America on Saturday, August 27th at 3 p.m. ET on NBCSN and MRN.
