12th Annual AAA Texas 500 at Texas Motor Speedway

Heading into Sunday’s 500-mile event at the Texas Motor Speedway, the No.32 Donate Life Texas/LifeCell team will travel west to “The Lone Star State” with Cedar Rapids, Iowa native Joey Gase for the 12th annual AAA Texas 500 at the Texas Motor Speedway, in Fort Worth, Texas.

Sunday’s event will mark Gase’s 13th career start in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series(NSCS), and his second start at the 1.5-mile high banked oval. Gase made his NSCS debut at Texas Motor Speedway in the Fall of 2014 driving for Go Fas Racing where he earned a 37th place finish after starting 43rd.

Competing in the NASCAR Xfinity Series(NXS), Gase has eight career starts at Texas Motor Speedway earning a best finish of 26th in the fall event last year driving for Jimmy Means. In 2011, Gase made his NXS debut at Texas driving for Go Fas Racing, where he finished 29th.

On Thursday, November 3rd fans are encouraged come out to the Longview Regional Medical Center in Longview, TX to help celebrate the lives touched by organ donation and meet Joey Gase. The event will start at 10:00 am local time, and run until 11:30am.

Go Fas Racing will be bringing chassis GFR-897 to serve as the primary car. This chassis was last ran by Jeffrey Earnhardt at Charlotte in October. Chassis GFR-890 will serve as the backup car.
