Stenhouse Jr. Returns to the NASCAR XFINITY Series in the No. 60 SunnyD Ford at Phoenix

CONCORD, N.C (Nov. 8, 2016) – After winning back-to-back championships in the NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) in 2011 and 2012, Roush Fenway Racing’s Ricky Stenhouse Jr. returns to the series at Phoenix International Raceway (PIR), piloting the No. 60 SunnyD Ford Mustang in Saturday’s Ticket Galaxy 200.

The two-time NXS champion has six career NXS starts at the one-mile track, earning three top-five and six top-10 finishes and completing every lap.

“I’m really looking forward to getting back in the XFINITY car this weekend at Phoenix,” Stenhouse said. “With this being one of the XFINITY Chase cut-off races, I think having the extra car for RFR could be beneficial for Ryan (Reed) and Bubba (Wallace), just in information sharing as they are trying to advance.

“The SunnyD paint scheme is one of my favorite paint schemes and will definitely stand out under the lights at Phoenix. Hopefully I can go park this Mustang in victory lane.”

The Ticket Galaxy 200 is set for Saturday, Nov. 12. Coverage begins at 7:30 p.m. (EST) on NBCSN. The race can also be heard on Motor Racing Network (MRN) and SIRIUS radio channel 90.
