ADVANCE NOTES

Wallace at Homestead

Wallace will make his second career NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Saturday afternoon.

Wallace earned a 10th-place finish in his lone NASCAR XFINITY Series start at the 1.5-Mile speedway in this event in 2015.

Wallace previously made two starts in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) at the South Florida track, recording one victory.

Wallace’s victory came in the 2014 NCWTS season finale after starting from the eighth position and leading 30 laps.

Recapping Phoenix

Wallace ran inside the top 10 for much of the penultimate NASCAR XFINITY Series event at Phoenix before being involved in a multi-car incident on Lap 148, ending the Roush Fenway Racing driver’s night early. Wallace was scored with a 32nd-place finish.

Seth Barbour at Homestead

Barbour will call his fourth NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Homestead. Barbour previously earned a best finish of 10th with Wallace in this event last season.

QUOTE WORTHY

Wallace on racing at Homestead:

“I love Homestead. It has always been a really good track for us, going back to racing in the Truck Series, where we were able to get a win in 2014. I’m definitely looking forward to getting back there this weekend and ending this season on a positive note for everyone who has worked so hard on this Leidos Mustang.”
