Kansas City, KS – Due to drizzle and mist in the early morning hours on Saturday, NASCAR Cup Series practice and qualifying were canceled. Three-time Cup Series champion Joey Logano will start on pole position via the metric system. The pole position is Logano’s 36th career pole and his third of the season, his first since World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway a few weeks ago.
Chase drivers Kyle Larson will start second, Christopher Bell third, Carson Hocevar fourth, Ty Gibbs fifth, Denny Hamlin sixth, Bubba Wallace seventh, William Byron eighth, Ryan Preece ninth, Austin Cindric 11th, Chris Buescher 12th, Daniel Suarez 14th, Tyler Reddick 15th, Chase Elliott 18th, Chase Briscoe 23rd, and Ryan Blaney 25th.
Logano will seek his second consecutive victory in a row after winning last Saturday night at Bristol Motor Speedway. The last time Logano won two consecutive races was in October 2015, when he won at Charlotte Motor Speedway and Kansas Speedway. He is also searching for his fourth Kansas Cup Series win as well. Should he do so, it’ll be his first at-track win since 2020.
The Hollywood Casino 400 is scheduled to go green shortly after 3 p.m./ET, with pre-race coverage beginning at 2:30 p.m./ET, live on USA Network/MRN Radio. Stages 80-85-102 will make up the 267-lap race.
