Dye Closes Out MHR Truck Schedule at Charlotte
Schedule Close Out … Daniel Dye, driver of the No. Champion Container Chevrolet will round out his NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) schedule with McAnally Hilgemann Racing (MHR) this Friday afternoon at Charlotte Motor Speedway (CMS) for the Ecosave 200. In the Daytona Beach, Fla. native’s three previous starts with the MHR stable, Dye has tallied one top-10 and two top-15 efforts with an average finish of 13.3. The young driver has been able to put together some solid results for MHR and will continue on the momentum with his final NCTS run for MHR Friday afternoon for the 134-lap event.
Backyard History … Charlotte marks the big home race for many drivers and teams as Concord, N.C. sits in NASCAR’s backyard. Although Dye has just two NCTS career starts at the 1.5-mile quad-oval, he is a veteran on the intermediate configurations with over 15 starts. The driver of the No. 20 Champion Container Chevrolet Silverado RST has recorded one pole (Atlanta, 2024), one top-five and five top-10 finishes with a best of second coming at Nashville Superspeedway back in 2024 when he was racing for Bill McAnally full-time. Dye looks to close out his season with MHR on a high note and establish a solid finish at Charlotte.
Tune In …Television coverage on the Ecosave 200 will begin Friday afternoon with practice and qualifying starting at 1:00 PM ET on FS2 and will resume with the wave of the green flag at 5:00 PM ET on FOX. Daniel Dye Quote:
“It has been a fun summer with MHR and I can’t thank Bill (McAnally, team owner) enough for letting me tackle a few races on the schedule with his fifth entry. Very grateful to be a part of this organization again and it has been a pleasure working with Dewey (Townsend, crew chief) and the guys. Charlotte and I have not always gotten along but I am ready to turn that around this weekend on Friday.”
