Richard Petty Named Co-Grand Marshal of Goody’s Headache Relief Shot 500

MARTINSVILLE, Va. (Oct. 30, 2015) –Richard Petty, Goody’s® and Martinsville Speedway are like three old friends who can’t be separated.

The three iconic NASCAR symbols will join together as Petty, a 15-time Martinsville winner, has been named co-Grand Marshal for Sunday’s Goody’s® Headache Relief Shot® 500.

Tom Harman, marketing director of Circle K stores, will join Petty as co-Grand Marshal and in giving the command to start the engines.

“I can hardly remember a time when Goody’s or Richard Petty wasn’t a part of Martinsville Speedway, and it’s great to have both back here again.” Martinsville Speedway President Clay Campbell said. “For Goody’s to bring a new brand in, it goes to show their commitment to growing our sport.”

“Goody’s is very honored to have our spokesperson Richard Petty serve as Grand Marshal, along with Tom Harman of Circle K at this year’s Goody’s® Headache Relief Shot® 500 race,” said Joseph Juliano, brand director for Goody’s®.  “It is a privilege to have Richard on the Goody’s team as he is not only one of the most famous names in NASCAR, but an icon in the sport. Tom and the Circle K have shown true commitment and support to the Goody’s brand and we appreciate having them here with us today.”

The Goody’s® Headache Relief Shot® 500 race weekend starts today with Virginia Lottery Pole Day.

The Camping World Truck Series will returns for the Kroger 200 on Saturday and the Goody’s® Headache Relief Shot® 500 is Sunday.

The Goody’s® Headache Relief Shot® 500 is the first race of the Eliminator Round of the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup.
