CASSILL TAKES ON TEXAS

FORT WORTH, Texas – Landon Cassill will be making his 17th start at Texas Motor Speedway in Saturday’s O’Reilly Auto Parts Challenge Xfinity Series race at the 1.5-mile track.

Cassill has raced in 10 Sprint Cup and six Xfinity series events at TMS.

“It’s a super-fast track and one where you’ve got to be on your toes all the time,” Cassill said. “I like racing there. It takes a lot out of the driver and the car, but if you can get everything lined up right you can have a good run.”

Cassill finished 25th in the spring race at Texas.

After a two-week break, the Xfinity Series rolls into the final three weeks of the season. After Texas, there are races at Phoenix and Homestead, Fla.

Practice for Saturday’s race is scheduled at 2 p.m. (ET) Friday. Qualifying is scheduled for 12:15 p.m. Saturday, with the race to follow at 3:30 p.m.
