Daytona Beach, Florida (February 25, 2012) – FAS Lane Racing announced today that they have welcomed back another sponsor for the 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season. The team’s first sponsor last year, US Chrome, will return to the No. 32 Ford this coming season as a Major Associate Sponsor for all 36 races. Just as it did last year, the sponsorship begins this weekend with the running of the historic Daytona 500.
“Bob Reath and the entire US Chrome family are a huge part of FAS Lane Racing and we welcome them back for another exciting season of racing,” stated FAS Lane Racing team owner Frank Stoddard. “Our relationship goes back to my early days in the sport and to still have an association this long at this level is pretty special. All of us at FAS Lane appreciate their loyal support and look forward to an exciting and successful 2012 race season.”
U.S. Chrome is revolutionizing the metal-finishing industry. The company’s innovative coatings – NiCom and TriCom (patent pending) – outperform chrome on many applications. NiCom has performance applications with motor sports, coating cylinders and pistons, and has been applied on more than one million cylinder bores. TriCom can be used across all metal-working industries, such as aerospace, oil and gas, automotive, agriculture, printing and hydraulics. A version of U.S. Chrome’s TriCom is currently being applied on components for the U.S. Air Force’s F-35 Joint Striker Fighter.
The running of the 54th annual Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway will run Sunday February 26th at 1:00 p.m. ET. The race can be viewed LIVE nationally on FOX and heard on affiliated MRN radio stations and on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio 90.

About FAS Lane Racing: FAS Lane Racing was established in 2011 when Frank Stoddard’s old team, Latitude 43 Motorsports, closed its doors. Stoddard formed his own team with the remaining crew members and purchased the cars and equipment from Roush Racing. Stoddard chose the No. 32 in tribute to his racing mentor Stub Fadden, who was a Busch North Series racer from New England who used the number 16, hence 16 x 2 = 32. FAS Lane Racing used a variety of drivers to secure a position in the Top 35 in owner’s points thus ensuring them a guaranteed starting spot heading into the 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season.
