Layne Riggs looks to add another Charlotte Motor Speedway trophy this Friday as the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series returns to the 1.5-mile track. Following the series event at Kansas Speedway, Riggs heads to Charlotte second in the standings, 37 points behind leader, Kaden Honeycutt.

In three previous NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series starts at Charlotte, all made with Front Row Motorsports, Riggs has two top-five finishes, including his win earlier this season, in May.

BKB Bare Knuckle Boxing Event Notes

BKB Bare Knuckle Boxing will join Riggs and the No. 34 team for Friday’s race, marking their seventh primary race on the No. 34 truck this season, and their Chase debut. So far, BKB Bare Knuckle Boxing’s race program has been highlighted by two wins, with Riggs’ dominating at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park and New Hampshire Motor Speedway, in the BKB Bare Knuckle Boxing branded Ford.

Heading into the third Chase race for the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series, Chandler Smith is third in the standings, 71 points behind leader, Kaden Honeycutt.

In four previous NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series starts at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Smith has two top-10 finishes, both with Kyle Busch Motorsports. Additionally, Smith has two NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series starts at the track.

Mystik Lubricants Event Notes

Front Row Motorsports announced this earlier this week that Mystik® Lubricants will expand on their existing partnership with the team, joining Chandler Smith and the No. 38 NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series entry as the primary partner for Friday’s event.

The race will mark the series debut for the heavy-duty lubricant brand, with FRM. Mystik served as the primary sponsor of the No. 38 NASCAR Cup Series entry and driver Zane Smith at Darlington earlier in the season and will return as the primary sponsor for (Zane) Smith at Martinsville, in November.
