MICHAEL WALTRIP RACING TO HOLD OPEN HOUSE ON WEDNESDAY

CORNELIUS, N.C. — Michael Waltrip Racing will hold an open house at its Cornelius, N.C. race shop on Wednesday 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Fans may tour the shop, get autographs from MWR drivers and Miss Sprint Cup, enjoy sponsor displays, music, free food and drinks.Waltrip said visitors have given the MWR shop a 100 percent approval rating.

“We’ve received a lot of support from NASCAR fans since we started our fulltime Cup program in 2007. In return we wanted to do something for everyone coming early to the Charlotte race,” said Waltrip. “Please come join us. We’ll have some fun and give you access to a NASCAR Sprint Cup race shop that few folks ever get to enjoy.”

Fans will be allowed access to the shop floor Wednesday for an up close view of the team’s Toyotas as it prepares for the Oct. 12 Chase for the Sprint Cup race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
