RAB Racing No. 99 Rheem Toyota Camry NNS Preview: Charlotte Motor Speedway

RAB Racing NNS Event Preview:
Charlotte Motor Speedway

Backyard Showdown…With only four races remaining in the 2014 season, the RAB Racing No. 99 Rheem/Microsoft team head home to Charlotte for a Friday night showdown. James Buescher and the team are looking to secure a top-10 finish to close out the enduring 18-week stretch before having two weeks off. Statistically Charlotte Motor Speedway (CMS) is one of Buescher’s better tracks on the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) schedule. In the five previous NNS starts at CMS, the Texas native has two top-10s and four top-15’s equaling out to a just over a 10th-place average finish.

Gotta Have a Rheem…Rheem is back onboard the No. 99 Toyota Camry once again this week serving as the primary sponsor for the No. 99 RAB Racing team. Rheem is privately held with headquarters in Atlanta and U.S. operations in Alabama, Arkansas, California, Indiana, North Carolina and Texas. In its 89th year of operation, the company is a global manufacturer of residential and commercial heating and cooling systems; tank, tankless, solar and hybrid heat pump water heaters; whole- home standby generators, controls, swimming pool and spa heaters; indoor air-purification products; commercial boilers; and commercial refrigeration equipment. The company’s premium brands include Rheem, Raypak, Ruud and Richmond, as well as commercial refrigeration brands Russell, Witt, ColdZone and Kramer, which are part of the company’s Heat Transfer Products Group (HTPG) division. Rheem products have been recognized with countless industry and consumer awards for reliability, innovative design and high quality.

Welcome Honeywell Guests…James Buescher and the No. 99 Rheem team will be racing in front of a large group of guests this weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway. In addition to having many guests on hand for Drive for the Cure 300, the logo of Honeywell will grace the c-post and the TV panel of the No. 99 Rheem Toyota Camry this week at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Chassis Info…RAB Racing will bring chassis No. 044 with them to Charlotte Motor Speedway. This particular chassis was last raced at Chicagoland Speedway in September and at Atlanta Motor Speedway previous to that.

Tune In…The NASCAR Nationwide Series heads to the backyard of many NASCAR teams next week when the series invades Charlotte Motor Speedway. The Drive for the Cure 300 can be seen on Friday, October 10 at 7:00 p.m. EDT on ESPN2. The event can also be heard on SiriusXM Satellite Radio channel 90 and on PRN Radio.

James Buescher on Charlotte Motor Speedway:

“Charlotte is one my favorite mile-and-a-half tracks to go to. It’s becoming more and more challenging. The cool thing is you can move around and run top, bottom, middle — wherever you need to in order to get your handling right and run. Another great thing about Charlotte, it’s a home race for most of the teams so all the crew can bring out their families and friends. Not for me however, but it’s a local race for everybody else and it’s cool letting them get to see what they do every week. The last couple of weeks my RAB Racing/Rheem team has shown some speed, we just need to capitalize on it and come out with a solid finish heading into the off-weekends giving us momentum to finish out the year. I think we’re definitely capable of sneaking up there and getting top-10 or even a top-five.”
