WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW FOR ATLANTA MOTOR SPEEDWAY

Daytona Recap: The NASCAR XFINITY Series kicked-off the 2015 season at Daytona International Speedway last Saturday. The No. 42 ENEOS Chevrolet Camaro team fought hard all day to be in contention for the win in the closing laps. Unfortunately, coming to the race’s final lap, Larson got sideways in the tri-oval and made contact with a fellow competitor, moving from second to eighth place, where he would finish the race.

Larson at Atlanta in XFINITY: Larson will make his third XFINITY Series start at Atlanta Motor Speedway this weekend. In two previous starts at the 1.5-mile speedway, Larson has two top-five finishes. He has an average starting position of 7.5 and average finishing position of fourth. His best start was second and his best result was third, both coming in August 2014.

KYLE LARSON ON ATLANTA MOTOR SPEEDWAY

“Last week in Daytona was a great start with Mike (Shiplett) and the entire HScott Motorsports with Chip Ganassi team. I am looking forward to racing in Atlanta this weekend, it will be a great test of our intermediate track program. We were so close to victory last week, I hope we can pull out a win this week.”

CREW CHIEF MIKE SHIPLETT ON ATLANTA MOTOR SPEEDWAY

“We had a successful team debut last weekend. Atlanta often comes down to fuel mileage, so pit strategy will be very important this weekend. Kyle has a good feel for Atlanta, so that always helps with a driver’s confidence.”
