Travis Kvapil Axalta ”We Paint Winners” 400 Race Advance

34th annual Axalta “We Paint Winners” 400 at Pocono Raceway

News and Notes:

Heading into Sunday’s Axalta 400, Kvapil will be looking to make his 268th career NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) start, and his 16th at the “Tricky Triangle.”  The Janesville, WI native will also be making his first start of 2015 with Go Green Racing. Kvapil went to Victory Lane at Pocono Raceway back in 2005 driving for Roger Penske in his first career ARCA start.

Travis Kvapil on Pocono:

“Pocono is such a unique track. There isn’t any other track that really compares to it. It’s kind of a combination of an oval and road course, which is exciting. I expect us to be shifting in 2 or 3 corners on every lap; we don’t do that at any other oval. I really enjoy the challenge that Pocono offers. I have run decent at Pocono before and I’m looking forward to driving the No.32 Ford Fusion for Go Green Racing again. I’m very grateful that Archie has given me this opportunity.”

Chassis Info:

Crew Chief Clinton Cram will be bringing chassis GGR-784 to serve as the primary car. Mike Bliss last drove this car at Charlotte Motor Speedway in May for the Sprint Showdown. Chassis GGR-289 will serve as the backup car for this weekend.
