Sadler at Iowa Speedway

Elliott Sadler will make his 10th NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) start at Iowa Speedway this Saturday evening in Newton, IA. In Sadler’s previous nine starts, he has one win, three pole awards, six top-five and nine top-10 finishes at Iowa. Earlier this year, Sadler crossed the line in the ninth position when the NXS raced at Iowa Speedway.

 

Previous NASCAR XFINITY Series Race

Sadler finished fifth during last Saturday’s NXS race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Sadler qualified sixth on Saturday morning for the 100-lap, 250-mile event at the historic race track. Not long after the green flag dropped, Sadler radioed to the team the car was extremely tight. Cautions on Lap 12 and on Lap 22 allowed for the No. 1 OneMain Financial crew to make critical adjustments on Sadler’s car. Sadler pitted for his final time under green on Lap 67, for fuel and four fresh tires. Sadler managed his fuel in the final 30 laps and the pit strategy worked out perfectly. Sadler crossed the line fifth and the No. 1 OneMain Financial team was able to bring home a great top-five finish at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

 

2015 NASCAR XFINITY Series Driver Point Standings

Following the NXS race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Sadler closes the gap in the NXS Driver Point Standings. After 18 races, Sadler is in fifth-place, now 57 points behind the leader.

 

Dash 4 Cash Eligible

With Sadler’s fifth-place finish at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, he is now eligible for the third round of the Dash 4 Cash program. If Sadler beats, Regan Smith, Ryan Blaney and Daniel Suarez at Bristol Motor Speedway on Aug 21st, Sadler will win $100,000.
