When Auto Club Speedway opened the gates on June 22, 1997 for its inaugural NASCAR Cup Series race, Martin Truex Jr. – one week shy of turning 17 -- was racing go-karts in his home state of New Jersey.

For the second year in a row, Ty Majeski visited victory lane in the prestigious Rattler 250 Super Late Model race at South Alabama Speedway. Majeski took the lead on a restart with 18 laps remaining in Sunday afternoon’s 41st Annual Rattler 250 – the season opener for the Southern Super Series.
Reed has competed at Auto Club Speedway (ACS) three times in the NASCAR XFINITY Series. In 2014, Reed qualified 15th and finished 17th. Reed has steadily improved; in 2015, he qualified 12th and finish 11th. In 2016 Reed started 10th and overcame a pit road penalty to finish 14th.
