Six quick Chevrolet SS drivers placed their race cars in the top 12 starting positions for Sunday’s Axalta “We Paint Winner’s” 400 at Pocono Raceway. Rain early in the day limited on-track time in the first practice session at the 2.5-mile venue.
Brad Keselowski, driver of the No. 2 Miller Lite Ford Fusion, met with media members Friday afternoon at rainy Pocono Raceway to discuss a myriad of topics including his thoughts going into this weekend with a new lower downforce package and how it pertains to his past success at the track.
Greg Biffle and the No. 16 team will be without crew chief Brian Pattie for the next two races after a NASCAR suspension handed down earlier in the week. Charlie Shaver, Chairman & CEO of Axalta Coating Systems, will serve as Grand Marshal for the Axalta “We Paint Winners” 400 at Pocono Raceway Sunday, June 5. Shaver, his daughter Caroline and Axalta Coating Systems Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer Joe McDougall, as well as his daughter Julia, will give the “start your engines” command.
“It’s just like every track,” Allmendinger said. “If you get your car right, it’s a fun place. If you get your car wrong, it’s a tough place. It’s definitely a place that the tagline 'Tricky Triangle' is not a lie. It’s three tough corners. Most of the time, you are not right in all three corners so you’ve got to be really good in two of the three and okay in the other.”

“We have had a lot of speed this season and we have been able to turn that speed into some really solid runs. Although we had some bad luck at Kansas and Charlotte I’d say that we are really stepping our game up overall as we head into the summer months of the season.”

While the NASCAR XFINITY Series will be making its first visit to Pocono Raceway, Dakoda will be making his sixth career start at the track known as the "Tricky Triangle". Armstrong has two previous starts at the track in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series to go along with three previous starts in the ARCA Racing Series.

Sam Corry, driver of the No. 25 Nitro Motorsports Toyota, led all 47 laps in Friday’s General Tire 150 ARCA Menards Series West (AMSW) race at Sonoma Raceway (SR) to earn his first career AMSW win in his Sonoma Raceway series debut.
Sam Corry (No. 25 Bruce Toyota) started from the Sioux Chief PowerPEX Pole and led every one of the race’s 47 laps to score the victory in Friday’s ARCA Menards West General Tire 150 at Sonoma Raceway.
The 18-year-old Corry from Cornelius, North Carolina, dominated from pole position en route to his first ARCA West career victory in Sonoma, California.
The three-time Supercars champion from Auckland, New Zealand, posted a fast qualifying lap at 95.483 mph in 75.023 seconds for his third consecutive O'Reilly Auto Parts Series pole in Sonoma, California.
