After failing to finish last week’s road-course race at Watkins Glen International because of suspension issues, Landon Cassill hopes to bounce back this weekend at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.
Scott Steckly driving the Canadian Tire/Sylvania Dodge followed the game plan and was up to fifth when an overzealous driver punted him from behind, spinning the 22 Racing entry and forcing him to the back of the large field of cars. This was event number seven of the eleven race NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 at Grand Prix de Trois Rivieres.
Sunday’s running of the JuliaWine.com Le 50 Tours was Luc Lesage’s third event of four in the 2014 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 and one he wanted to do well at in front of his home town fans. Unfortunately contact caused him a setback and he finished a disappointing 19th.
After posting a track-best finish of 20th at the season's first road course event, Eric McClure had high hopes coming into Saturday's Zippo 200 at Watkins Glen International, his last road course race of the season. Despite qualifying 29th and struggling with transmission issues for the second weekend in a row, the Virginia driver was still able to post a track-best finish of 24th.

Green competed in the inaugural Nationwide Series event at Mid-Ohio one year ago for the Hefty®/Reynolds Wrap® team and he was on-track to earning a top-15 finish when he was involved in an accident on the final lap.

Mike Bliss is looking forward to returning to Mid-Ohio this weekend, where he will make his 700th career NASCAR start. With over 30 starts on road courses, you can call Bliss a road course warrior. Although he only has one start at Mid-Ohio, he has an average starting position of 30.0 and an average finishing position of 17.0.
Carlos Contreras will continue to be behind the wheel of the No. 44 38 Special/Ingersoll Rand/Voli Camry this weekend for the third and final NNS road course race of the 2014 season. This will be Contreras's first start at the 2.4-mile, 15-turn road course, but it will be his eighth career NASCAR road course start. Earlier this season, Contreras finished 15th at Road America in the No. 44 Camry and finished 23rd last weekend at Watkins Glen.
