In the NASCAR Nationwide Series, Sadler has made 11 starts at the track, including one pole award, one top-five and five top-10 finishes, as well as 11 laps led. In the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, Sadler made 24 starts, including 188 laps led and one top-10 finish. He also made one start in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, but a crash relegated him to a 24th-place finish in 2010.

David Gilliland was having a solid weekend at Dover (Del.) International Speedway during the Sprint Cup Series' first visit to the track in June.
