We ran our Modified on Saturday at Sunset Speedway in front of a huge crowd, maybe the biggest of the season. The stands were full and the racing was awesome.
Our team was ready right out of the trailer. We went through pre-race tech, and all was good for our car to practice.

“Our Home Depot Husky Tools Camry was really good. The last run we kind of missed a little bit there. The first round was good, the second round was actually better and the tires drop off so much here, the third round just didn’t quite get it as good. Overall it was good. It was way better than we’ve been all day, so our adjustments were good and it seemed to have good speeds and was driving decent, so that was all encouraging.”

Luckily we were fast enough to be able to get through the first round into the second round. The second round we got into a little better rhythm where I wanted to run on the race track. I’ve got to thank everybody on our Jimmy John’s team they make my life a lot easier on Friday’s and this is a lot of fun.”
INDYCAR announced today that the Grand Prix of Houston will not return to the Verizon IndyCar Series schedule in 2015. The 1.7-mile temporary circuit at NRG Park hosted doubleheader races in each of the past two seasons, but INDYCAR and officials from the Grand Prix of Houston were unable to define a date for the 2015 event.

The two-time Indy 500 & IndyCar champion from Nashville, Tennessee, led eight of 250 laps and went from 10th to first through a 32-lap dash to achieve his first IndyCar victory of 2026 at Phoenix.
The three-time Cup Series champion from Middletown, Connecticut, clocked in a single qualifying lap at 135.537 mph in 26.561 seconds for the first Cup pole of 2026 for himself, Team Penske and Ford at Phoenix.
