SEASON-TO-DATE: After the first 15 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races this season, Kasey Kahne currently ranks fourth in laps in the top 15 (3,752), fourth in fastest speed in traffic (8.400 average rank), fifth in average running position (11.418) and fifth in fastest drivers late in a run (7.846 average rank).

More than 2,750 miles separate Michael Waltrip Racing’s race shop and Sonoma Raceway. It will take the NASCAR Sprint Cup team’s two race haulers at least 40 hours to drive non-stop from North Carolina to reach the gates of the California road course.

After a weekend off, the No.32 Go Green Racing team will head west to Wine Country for Sunday's Toyota/Save Mart 350 at the Sonoma Raceway in Sonoma, CA with Boris Said. This weekend's event will mark Said's 50th career start in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) and his 16th start at the 1.99-mile road course.

Sam Hornish Jr. will have a new look on the No. 9 Ford at Sonoma Raceway this weekend. Richard Petty Motorsports (RPM) has signed new partner, Jacob Companies as the primary sponsor on the No. 9 Ford at the California road course. After a much appreciated off-weekend, Aric Almirola and the No. 43 Nathan's Famous Ford team are ready to tackle the first road course race of the season. The team will head to the 10-turn Sonoma Raceway and compete to stay on the Chase Grid and work their way back into the Top-10 in Championship Points.

Richard Childress Racing in Wine Country ... In 58 starts at the 10-turn stadium course, Richard Childress Racing owns two wins, with Dale Earnhardt in 1995 and Robby Gordon in 2003, one pole award (Earnhardt 1995), 14 top-five and 24 top-10 finishes. The Welcome, N.C.,-based team has led 137 laps at Sonoma, completed 6,234 of the 6,280 laps contested (99.3 percent) and recorded just one DNF (Did Not Finish) through that stretch (1989-2015).
