There were two major stories to come out of Richmond this week. First, we have the victory of Kurt Busch, once again returning to his job, as the amazing wheelman Gene Haas hired him to be for the first time in 35 races.

Phil Bienert, chief marketing officer for GoDaddy issued a statement Wednesday, confirming that GoDaddy will not renew its primary sponsorship of Danica Patrick’s Sprint Cup Car which expires at the end of the current season.

As the Motorcraft/Quick Lane Team head to Talladega, the festivities at this weekend’s Aaron’s 499 at Talladega Superspeedway will include a look back 30 years to the 1985 Winston 500 at Talladega, a race in which Bill Elliott and his No. 9 Ford Thunderbird put on one of the greatest displays of power in modern NASCAR racing.

Saturday’s NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Talladega Superspeedway marks Bubba Wallace’s second NASCAR XFINITY Series start at the track. Last season, Wallace qualified third before being collected in an accident and finishing 31st.

Talladega Superspeedway announced today the Honorary Officials for the GEICO 500 on Sunday, May 3, the 10th NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race of the 2015 schedule.

Indiana racing legend and five-time Brickyard champion Jeff Gordon will drive a Corvette Z06 pace car to kick off the 99th Running of the Indianapolis 500, on May 24 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series travels to Talladega Superspeedway, the circuit’s biggest track. The 2.66-mile tri-oval, where speeds reach 200 miles per hour, often produces multi-car accidents. With drivers and cars running mere inches apart one slight bobble can spell trouble for several competitors at a time.

Based on how his No. 78 Chevrolets ran during Daytona Speedweeks in February, you can’t blame Martin Truex Jr. for feeling positive about tackling NASCAR’s other superspeedway – the 2.66-mile oval in Talladega, Ala., site of Sunday’s Geico 500 Sprint Cup Series race.

RICHMOND RECAP: Camry driver Matt Kenseth (seventh) was the top-finishing Toyota driver in the Sunday's rain-delayed Toyota Owners 400 at Richmond International Raceway in Virginia. In addition to Kenseth's finish, Camry driver Clint Bowyer (ninth) also finished in the top-10 on the 0.75-mile track.
