NASCAR National Series News & Notes – Bristol Motor Speedway

No driver has opened a season with seven consecutive top 10s since Jimmie Johnson in 2005. Until now. Three different drivers – Kevin Harvick, Joey Logano and Martin Truex Jr. – have each opened the year with seven straight top-10 finishes. Unsurprisingly, they rank 1-3 in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver points standings.

Ryan Reed –Bristol Advance

Reed has competed at Bristol Motor Speedway (BMS) three times in the NASCAR XFINITY Series. He earned his best finish of 14th at the track in fall 2014 after starting 19th.

Elliott Sadler – Bristol Motor Speedway Advance

“It’s pretty clear to see why Bristol is one of my favorite race tracks. I’ve celebrated in Victory Lane as an XFINITY driver, as well as I won my first career NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Bristol.

Greg Biffle – Bristol Advance

“It’s been a busy week with testing in Kentucky, but I’m really looking forward to Bristol this weekend. We run hard at Bristol, which is always fun and exciting. You race right up against the fence, as fast as you can go. Track position is key - you’ve got to be up front and stay out front.”

Trevor Bayne – Bristol Advance

Chris Buescher – Bristol Advance

Chris Buescher makes his fourth NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday. In his previous three starts, Buescher has two top-10s, one of which was a seventh-place result in his third-ever NASCAR XFINITY Series start in 2013.

Bubba Wallace – Bristol Advance

Saturday afternoon’s NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway marks Wallace’s first start in the series at the half-mile track. So far this season, Wallace leads the NASCAR XFINITY Series in the number of quality passes with 351 through the first six races of the 2015 season.

Whitt Gets Boost from Tweaker Energy Shot

Cole Whitt and Front Row Motorsports' No. 35 team will have a jolt of new support for the race at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway this weekend. Tweaker Energy Shot joins the team as primary sponsor for Sunday's Food City 500.
