NASCAR Cup Series

Following a breakout year by the No. 43 team, including a historic win in the Coke Zero 400, the U.S. Air Force will once again join Richard Petty Motorsports and the iconic No. 43 Ford team as a primary partner. Using the sponsorship as a vehicle to connect with America's best young adults, this will be the seventh consecutive season the Air Force logo will be on the No. 43.

Richard Petty Motorsports has a new driver this season as Sam Hornish Jr. replaces Marcos Ambrose while Aric Almirola looks to build on his best season that resulted in his first NASCAR Sprint Cup Series victory and a spot in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup. Both drivers were part of a session this morning at the Charlotte Media Tour and discussed the 2015 season.

There is only one color that has defined the Petty brand over the past 65 years, Petty Blue, And, for the last 25 years the Petty family has relied on R-M Automotive Finishes, a brand of BASF to bring that color to life. In 2015, R-M will continue that tradition on the No. 43 and also provide the colorful finishes to the No. 9 Ford and the No. 43 XFINITY team for Richard Petty Motorsports.

It has been just over one year when Richard Petty Motorsports (RPM) announced that Twisted Tea Brewing Company partnered with the organization in its first NASCAR sponsorship. Today, RPM announced that the hard ice tea brewing company will return to the No. 9 Ford for two primary races in the 2015 season with driver Sam Hornish Jr.

The Roush Fenway Racing contingent kicked off Ford Wednesday at the 2015 Charlotte Media Tour with drivers from the NASCAR XFINITY and Sprint Cup series’ on hand, as well as organizational leaders Steve Newmark and Jack Roush. Below is a transcript of the formal portion of Wednesday’s program.

The Charlotte Media Tour made a stop at the new Ford Performance Technical Center on Tuesday night to get a first-hand look at the facility which opened in May 2014.
