Instead of his usual mission to make it to Victory Lane, Casey Mears and his entire No. 13 GEICO Chevrolet Germain Racing team went on a different kind of mission aboard a US Air Force C-17 Globemaster III.

Kevin Harvick continued to add to his NASCAR Sprint Cup qualifying career by capturing his seventh pole position of the 2014 season in his No. 4 Budweiser Chevrolet SS. He ran a fast lap of 22.095 seconds, 162.933 mph and will lead the field to the green in Sunday’s AAA 400 at Dover International Speedway.

KYLE BUSCH, No. 18 Interstate Batteries Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing Starting Position: 2nd - How confident are you starting second in Sunday's race?"I'm pretty confident with it. I think we had a good car here in the spring -- we just kind of lost the handle on it a little bit there early in the race. But, the way the track rubbered in throughout the first run and then especially the second run of the race -- we just weren't ready for what happened."

After a celebratory hug from son Keelan, Kevin Harvick proved that he was ‘freaky fast’ again in his No. 4 Budweiser Chevrolet, scoring the pole for the AAA 400 at the Monster Mile with a speed of 162.933 mph and a time of 22.095 seconds.

ON HIS SEVENTH POLE POSITION OF THE SEASON: “It’s been an amazing year for everybody on our Budweiser Stewart-Haas racing team; they just do a great job in preparing the race cars and put a lot of effort into qualifying and it’s translated into a lot of good finishes. We’ve just got to keep doing what we’re doing. Track position is huge here, especially at the beginning of the race."

KEVIN HARVICK, NO. 4 BUDWEISER CHEVROLET SS – POLE WINNER - ON HIS RUN: "Thank you. It is exciting. These guys do an awesome job in preparing the race cars. The first time here this year we struggled here after we unloaded a little bit, but they had it good by Saturday. We unloaded really good this time and it has carried through the weekend. So just really happy for everybody on our Budweiser Chevrolet."

BRAD KESELOWSKI – No. 2 Wurth Ford Fusion – “We’re strong. The 4 car is a little bit better. We seem to be right there with everyone else or maybe just a touch better, but we’ll keep working on it. We’ve got tomorrow’s practice and we’ve got a good starting spot for Sunday. It’s not a pole, but you can’t always get poles. Still, it’s something to be proud of.”

MATT KENSETH, No. 20 Husky Tools-Home Depot Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing - What is your mindset right now in Dover?"I'm just thinking about qualifying right now. Just got through practice and we worked on race trim a little bit and just trying to get ready to qualify today and get ready tomorrow to try to get ready for Sunday."
