Justin Allgaier will make his second NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) start at Charlotte Motor Speedway (CMS) on Saturday night. In his first NSCS start at the 1.5-mile speedway in May, Allgaier's night ended with a 37th-place finish due to a part failure. Allgaier has 11 starts in the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) at CMS, with two top-five and six top-10 finishes, along with six laps led. Steve Addington, crew chief of the No. 51, has one win at Charlotte with Kurt Busch in 2010.

After four races since the start of the Chase, Truex and the single-car Furniture Row Racing team are doing it. And they’ve been doing it with an exclamation mark.

Last weekend at Kansas Speedway, Harvick earned the pole award with a track-record speed and lap time – a feat he also accomplished at the 1.5-mile track in May. He finished 12th on Sunday after the team had to make an unscheduled green-flag pit stop.

Ford Racing has won three of the first four NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Chase races this season. That’s two behind the manufacturers' all-time single season Chase high of five, which was set in 2005 and 2008.

Trevor Bayne will make his Roush Fenway Racing Sprint Cup debut this weekend at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway behind the wheel of the No. 6 AdvoCare Ford Fusion. This marks the first time that a No. 6 Roush Fenway Ford will start a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) race since the 2012 season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Bayne will take the wheel of the No. 6 Ford Fusion full time in 2015.

In 142 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series starts at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Richard Childress Racing teams have earned seven points-paying victories (four wins with Dale Earnhardt, one with Jeff Burton and two with Kevin Harvick) and four All-Star race victories (three with Earnhardt and one with Harvick), giving RCR 11 total Sprint Cup Series checkered flags at the Concord, N.C.-based track.

Biffle has 23 starts in the Cup series at Charlotte, but a win has eluded him. He has finished in the top-five five times and has eight top-10 finishes.
