Six-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson led the way for Team Chevy in his No. 48 Lowe’s Chevrolet SS at the Irwin Tools Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway, with a fourth place finish. Johnson overcame two pit road speeding penalties to earn his seventh top five finish of the season. The 500-lap Saturday night short track race netted Team Chevy four places in the top 10 finishing order.

Matt Kenseth (third) registered a top-five finish in Saturday night's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) race at Bristol Motor Speedway behind race-winner Joey Logano and runner-up Brad Keselowski.

After scoring his career best Sprint Cup series finish at Bristol Motor Speedway in the spring, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. led the Roush Fenway Racing trio with a solid sixth-place finish in Saturday night’s IRWIN Tools Night Race.

Greg Biffle drove his No. 16 3M Hire Our Heroes Ford Fusion to a 10th-place finish Saturday night at Bristol Motor Speedway. With just over 100 laps remaining, contact on the track left Biffle’s bumper covering dangling. A perfectly timed caution allowed the team to remove the cover and Biffle was able to capitalize, earning his fourth top-10 finish in the last four races.

It was a perplexing Saturday evening for Martin Truex Jr. at Bristol Motor Speedway. The Furniture Row Racing driver said his car had a mind of its own as he struggled during the second half of the Irwin Tools Night Race to post a 20th-place result in the Sprint Cup Series event.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. made a late-race surge to score a sixth-place finish to lead three Roush Fenway Fords in the top 10 in Saturday night’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) race under the lights at Bristol Motor Speedway. Carl Edwards came home in seventh and Greg Biffle finished 10th. Including the Roush Fenway contingent, five of the top-10 finishers in the race were Fords.

Joey Logano believes he has the car and Team Penske believes they have the team to win the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship.

It has been a fantastic season for Dale Earnhardt Jr., arguably one of his best in many years. Saturday night, the Irwin Tools Night Race, however, left a little to be desired.
