Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) announces today that Carl Edwards will join the organization in 2015 to compete full time in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.

No. 55 Aaron’s Dream Machine driver Brian Vickers will rely on veteran spotter Roman Pemberton to guide him during Saturday night’s race. With the cars turning 16-second laps, Bristol is a challenge for Pemberton and all spotters atop the Bristol stands.

If there is a track where Marcos Ambrose feels he can put himself into The Chase in the remaining races, Bristol Motor Speedway is one of them. Ambrose has six Top-10 and three Top-Five finishes at the half-mile oval and finished fifth at the track in March. It has proved to be one of the most successful ovals for Ambrose in his Sprint Cup career.

Aric Almirola and the No. 43 team, now #ChaseBound, return to Bristol Motor Speedway confident in a top finish. The team contended for the lead late in the race earlier this season and scored a third-place finish, Almirola's career-best Sprint Cup finish at the Tennessee track.

Justin Allgaier will make his second NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) start at Bristol Motor Speedway (BMS) this Saturday night. He finished 17th in his first NSCS race at BMS in March. Allgaier has 10 starts in the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) at BMS, with one win in March 2010 and one Coors Light Pole Award in March 2013.

“I’m really looking forward to this weekend after finishing second at Bristol in the spring. You can feel the excitement of the fans at the Bristol night race. Since track position is so important, we will focus on trying to qualify up front and then stay up front with pit strategy.

Biffle has 23 Sprint Cup Series starts at Bristol, earning six top-five and 12 top-10 finishes. He has an average starting position of 13.9 and finishing position of 12.0 at the short track.

"The Bristol night race is always a blast. It's one of those bucket-list events that a lot of NASCAR fans have. And for good reason. Bristol Motor Speedway has worked hard over the years to make the racing as best as they can for the fans, with a lot of passing and a lot of action. It's probably my favorite racetrack on the schedule. It's tough, and it's physically demanding. You're on it for each and every lap, for 500 of 'em. It's intense."

"Bristol has changed a little the last couple of races. The guys who can run the bottom, they can make the passes and win the race. But there's still grip up top, so you see a lot of guys running up there. But, you've got to pass on the bottom."

Joe Gibbs Racing announced on Tuesday morning that Carl Edwards will be joining the organization in 2015, driving the No. 19 Toyota.
