NASCAR Cup Series

Heading into the last race before The Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup begins, Marcos Ambrose and the No. 9 DEWALT Ford team should not be overlooked. Ambrose and the team have two Top-Five finishes at short tracks this year, and Ambrose has finished in the Top-Five before at Richmond. The team is more than capable of grabbing the last spot with a win this weekend.

This Week's American Ethanol Chevrolet at Richmond International Raceway ... Austin Dillon will pilot Chassis No. 477 in the Federated Auto Parts 400 at Richmond International Raceway. This is the same Chevrolet SS that Dillon raced to a 14th-place finish at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in July.

Edwards stayed in the Top-10 for 240 laps of the 335 lap overtime race, 51 of them in the top-five. He survived nine cautions while fighting a tight condition in his car the entire race. He was able to capture a hard fought fifth place finish when the checkered flag flew after two great restarts in the wild scramble at the end of the race.

It is important to have a car that turns in the center with good drive off. I’m really looking forward to Saturday night’s race at Richmond and hopefully we can get our Fifth Third Bank Ford into victory lane and a Chase spot.”

Atlanta was a race we thought would be decided by a driver who had a great car, one who had a great pit crew, or one who was simply too desperate for victory to be denied. In the end, it was decided by two guys who turned their high-powered machines into bumper cars to force a green-white-checker...or two.

Racing is so good at Richmond because you can run two or three wide up the race track, get a run off the bottom and the tires wear out. Hopefully we can get a good run this Saturday night and secure our position in the Chase.”

"Richmond is always a wild race, and with it being the last race to make the Chase, it's going to be even wilder. It's always a fun racetrack, and I think they've got a different tire this year so it's going to be a little different for us. But Richmond always puts on a great show. The fans love it and we always have fun, too. It's good old-fashioned short-track racing.
