Kurt Busch attempted to complete “the double” this weekend – the Indianapolis 500 and the Coca-Cola 600. That’s 1100 miles of racing in one day on two tracks that are 575 miles apart, not to mention the fact that it is also in two very different types of race cars.

At the end of the 2013 season, Kurt Busch left Furniture Row Racing and headed over to “greener” pastures – Stewart-Haas Racing. After a thorough search, Furniture Row named Martin Truex Jr. as the new driver of the No. 78.

Come Sunday, Kurt Busch will join John Andretti, Robby Gordon, and his boss Tony Stewart as the only NASCAR drivers to complete the Indianapolis 500 and the Coca-Cola 600 on the same day. Kurt Busch will start the 98th running of the Indianapolis 500 from the 12th position.

When the 2014 season rolled around and it became clear that Ryan Newman would be a Richard Childress Racing driver, it didn't seem that Newman was making an upgrade, but rather a lateral move.

This weekend, Marcos Ambrose will debut a brand new sponsor on the hood of his No. 9 Ford - Twisted Tea.

Carl Edwards, driver of the No. 99 Fastenal Ford Fusion, posted the fastest time in today’s first NASCAR Sprint Cup Series practice session and backed that up with another Top-10 effort in Happy Hour. He spoke about what the key for tomorrow’s Coca-Cola 600 will be from his perspective.

In his first 13 starts at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Clint Bowyer only posted three top-10s as the majority of his finishes fell in the 20s or 30s. However, then October 2012 happened, and since then, things have changed. Since then, Bowyer's worst finish is 13th.

It was announced on Saturday at Charlotte Motor Speedway, that Trevor Bayne will compete full-time in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series in 2015. Bayne will drive the No. 6 AdvoCare Ford for Roush-Fenway Racing (RFR).

Roush Fenway Racing announced this morning that Trevor Bayne will drive the No. 6 AdvoCare Ford Fusion full-time in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series next season. Bayne, along with car owner Jack Roush, made the announcement before practice at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
