This Week's Whitetail Chevrolet at Auto Club Speedway ... Brian Scott will wheel chassis No. 460 in this weekend's NASCAR Sprint Cup series race at Auto Club Speedway. This Chevrolet SS is newly constructed by the Richard Childress Racing crew and will be utilized for the first time under race conditions this weekend.

As part of the partnership, Kwikset will be the primary sponsor and paint scheme for Newman's car during the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Kansas Race in Kansas City on May 10, and will have its logo on Newman's No. 31 car for every race during the 2014 Sprint Cup Series in an associate capacity.

Coming off his best finish of the season and 16th top-five finish of his NASCAR Sprint Cup Series career, Marcos Ambrose and the No. 9 Richard Petty Motorsports team will bring the logo of DEWALT on the hood with them to the Auto Club Speedway in California this Sunday.

There will not be an International Motorsports Hall of Fame induction ceremony this year, as a result of no individual receiving the required 51 percent of the vote from the 120-person voting panel. The annual event was tentatively scheduled for Thursday, May 1, as a kickoff to the Aaron’s Dream Weekend at Talladega Superspeedway.

"We were more than just a little disappointed with not making the race in Bristol. So we're going to regroup and not let that happen again. I couldn't have felt worse with how close we were (.001 seconds). But it was better to know we were really close than not even in the ballpark. At the end of the day, we should've been in.

"California is a fun racetrack. It loses grip throughout the course of a run. You put on new tires and you feel like Superman for a few laps. It's very bumpy and there are a lot of different grooves you can run around.

"Fontana's a different racetrack. It's a two-mile track, so you're going really fast, but it never feels like it has quite enough banking. You get down there in the corner, and it just feels like you need about 10 degrees more banking. And it's gotten rougher and rougher over the years.

STP®, one of the most recognized brands in motorsports history, has begun its 60th anniversary celebration as it prepares for the STP 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race on March 30th at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway.

Ford Racing has won the last two NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races, courtesy of Brad Keselowski (Las Vegas) and Carl Edwards (Bristol). The last time Ford Racing won three consecutive series races was in June 2005 at Dover, Pocono and Michigan. Greg Biffle won the Dover and Michigan events while Edwards took the checkered flag at Pocono.
