Clint Bowyer, No. 15 RK Motors Toyota – Pocono NSCS Preview

No. 15 RK Motors Toyota driver Clint Bowyer and Crew Chief Brian Pattie are in their second season together at Michael Waltrip Racing. Their first season culminated in a runner-up finish for the 2012 Chase for the Sprint Cup. The pair heads to Pocono Raceway this weekend in third-place in the standings ahead of their 2012 pace in top-fives, top-10s, laps led and seven spots higher in the point standings.

Stenhouse Jr – Pocono Advance

Valvoline first partnered with RFR in 1989 and served as the primary sponsor on the No. 6 Sprint Cup Ford. In 2011, RFR first adopted NextGen motor oil technology, testing it at the lab and on track. Since 2011, overall regular season race wins using Valvoline with NextGen technology total 55, with 17 of those in NASCAR with RFR. In addition, Valvoline with NextGen technology won the last two NNS championships with RFR and Ricky Stenhouse Jr.

Ambrose Ready to Master ‘Tricky Triangle’

Although some may think it's too early to be talking about the "Chase for the Sprint Cup," Marcos Ambrose and the No. 9 Richard Petty Motorsports team know it's not the case. Ambrose will visit the 'Tricky Triangle' this weekend looking to master the three, very different turns at the Pocono (Penn.) Raceway. Carrying the DEWALT colors, the No. 9 Ford team will also be looking for a win to help secure a spot in the "Chase."

Almirola Eyes Chase Spot at ‘Tricky Triangle’

The No. 43 Smithfield Ford teams heads to Pocono (Penn.) Raceway 17 points outside of the coveted top-10 in championship points. Aric Almirola hopes to out-trick the 'Tricky Triangle' and bring home a top-10 finish to help propel the team in points.

SAME FINISH AS LAST AUGUST FOR GORDON AT POCONO RACEWAY

The last time Jeff Gordon visited Pocono Raceway, the No. 24 Chevrolet had a great finish. This time he will have the same great finish - just with a different name.

Gilliland: Third Corner’s the Charm

David Gilliland says you have to go against your instincts to master Pocono Raceway. While drivers usually concentrate on their car's handling in the first corner they approach, the driver of the No. 38 Long John Silver's Ford says the focus needs to be on Turn 3 of the track known as the "Tricky Triangle."

Wise Is Rare Driver with Early Success at Pocono

Most drivers walk away from their first experience at Pocono Raceway shaking their heads. The 2.5-mile triangular oval with three different corners can be difficult to learn and master, but Josh Wise found good speed in his No. 35 MDS Transport Ford in his first two visits last year. He and his Front Row Motorsports team look forward to returning to the Long Pond, Pa., track this weekend for the Sprint Cup Series' Party in the Poconos 400.

Ragan Likes Shorter, Faster Pocono

David Ragan thinks that recent changes at Pocono Raceway - shortening the race from 500 to 400 miles and repaving the 2.5-mile oval - have made the racing better. And he thinks the new Gen-6 Sprint Cup Series cars will improve the racing even more in 2013.

Mark Martin Pocono Preview

Mark Martin doesn’t have a racing bucket list, but if he did Pocono Raceway might be at the top of the list. Pocono, Homestead, Indianapolis, Daytona and Kentucky are the only active tracks on the Sprint Cup circuit where Martin has not won.

The Final Word – To predict the outcome at Dover would have required a sixth sense

You settle down to watch a movie, to follow the storyline, even expecting what the outcome might be. Matt Kenseth was to win at Dover, Jimmie Johnson was going to challenge him for the victory, Tony Stewart would have another dud day, and the boy sees dead people.
