The Martinsville Speedway started hosting NASCAR races in 1949 - 45 years before Max Gresham was born, and though the sport has evolved throughout the years, the track's popularity among drivers has stayed the same. They love the track, the history, the rush, and they love Martinsville's famous hotdogs.

Talladega Superspeedway is currently accepting applications for Fan Advisory Network (FAN) members. The TSS FAN was established in 2010 to gain insight on race fan interactions with the track, from the ticket buying process all the way through to the exit procedures after a race. Keselowski finished 8th at Kansas, better than all but Clint Bowyer among Chase contenders. Keselwoski leads Jimmie Johnson by seven, and has a 15-point edge over Denny Hamlin.

Now, that was a race worth watching. The lead changed, some cars got bopped. It did not look a thing like Formula One where every one goes real fast in a single line train, where one lap looks just like any other. Kansas provided every argument as to why we watch NASCAR.

We did the 2013 test a month or so ago, so we’ve been on the track recently; and granted the cars aren’t the same so it will be different, but at lease we’ve had some laps on the track. We’ve done a little short track testing that should pay off and make us more competitive. So as excited as I am, I know also that the No. 11 (Denny Hamlin) is and I have to assume the No. 24 (Jeff Gordon) is pretty charged-up to go. But either way, I feel like it’s a good opportunity for us to get points and hopefully if we’re not in the points lead, we can get awfully close to it or take it there.”
