Penske Racing announced today that Joey Logano will join the team in 2013. He will drive the No. 22 Shell-Pennzoil Ford in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.

Kenseth on racing at Richmond International Raceway: “You never know how the racing will be this weekend at Richmond with guys still trying to race their way into the Chase. I think certainly since NASCAR added the wild card element that it’s put another interesting twist into qualifying for the Chase so I’m looking forward to seeing what happens."

Joey Logano qualified ninth for Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series event at Atlanta Motor Speedway. It was a career-best qualifying effort for Logano at the 1.5-mile facility.

Regan Smith was cruising in the top-10, but a late caution that sent the race into overtime didn't bode well for the Furniture Row Racing driver, who slipped to a 14th-place finish in Sunday night's NASCAR Sprint Cup event at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
