NASCAR Cup Series

Carl Edwards, driver of the No. 99 Fastenal Ford Fusion, has three NASCAR Sprint Cup wins at Atlanta Motor Speedway, including the first of his career in 2005. A win this weekend would help Edwards in his quest to make the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup field, which will be determined after the next two races. He spoke about his chances during a national teleconference this afternoon.

The track announced today that Kevin Harvick and Kyle Busch will join Dale Earnhardt Jr. for appearances in the Martinsville Speedway Fan Zone presented by Diet Mountain Dew prior to the TUMS Fast Relief 500 on October 28. The three drivers will appear at separate times for emceed question and answer sessions.

Richmond International Raceway is offering race fans a unique opportunity on Thursday, September 6. All NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers eligible to race their way into or capture a Wild Card spot in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup, but have not already secured a position prior to the Federated Auto Parts 400, will participate in a free fan question and answer session.

Talladega Superspeedway is proud to announce that Dale Earnhardt Jr., driver of the No. 88 National Guard Chevrolet, and Clint Bowyer, driver of the No. 15 5-Hour Energy Toyota are scheduled to appear in the Talladega Experience hospitality area on Sunday, October 7th.

Toyota drivers claimed a weekend sweep at Tennessee's Bristol Motor Speedway by recording wins in all three NASCAR races at the half-mile track. Camry driver Denny Hamlin captured the victory in Saturday night's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) race and his Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) teammate Joey Logano was victorious in Friday evening's NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) event -- his sixth NNS win of 2012.

The learning curve, which has moved along quickly and successfully between Furniture Row Racing driver Regan Smith and the team's new crew chief Todd Berrier, will take on a new challenge this weekend when the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series competes at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Friday August 31st – Eddie Sharp Racing teammates Justin Lofton, Cale Gale and Max Gresham will visit the Team Chevy stage at 2:00 p.m. followed by Richard Childress Racing teammates Ty Dillon, Tim George Jr. and Joey Coulter at 2:30 p.m. Ron Hornaday Jr. will visit the Team Chevy stage at 2:45 p.m.

The AdvoCare 500 at the 1.54-mile Atlanta Motor Speedway quad-oval on Sunday, September 2nd is the 25th of 36 races on the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series schedule and it’s the site where Bobby Labonte scorched the competition for six of his 21 career victories.
