REGAN SMITH, NO. 78 FURNITURE ROW RACING/CSX PLAY IT SAFE CHEVROLET, met with members of the media at Darlington Raceway and discussed his outlook for this weekend’s race, his 2012 season to date, last year’s victory at Darlington and more.

BK Racing announced today that Travis Kvapil will drive the No. 73 Dr Pepper Toyota in Saturday's Bojangles' Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway. Kvapil's car will be a third entry fielded by BK Racing and will run in addition to the organization's No. 83 Toyota, driven by Landon Cassill, and No. 93 Toyota, driven by David Reutimann.

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series moves to one of the racing venues that helped make the sport famous: the Darlington Raceway. With the annual race at the track too tough to tame, comes a lot of personal memories.

Michael Waltrip Racing will hold its sixth annual Fan Fest at its race shop in Cornelius, N.C. on Wednesday, May 23. MWR NASCAR Sprint Cup drivers Martin Truex Jr., Mark Martin and Clint Bowyer will sign autographs from 1-3 p.m.

TBR made two starts at Darlington Raceway. Last season, Blaney started in the 42nd spot and finished in 24th place. In 2009, Scott Riggs started 37th and finished 39th. He completed 101 laps before a brake issue ended the team’s day early.

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers Danica Patrick and Ryan Newman were on hand Thursday at Charlotte Motor Speedway to help roll out exciting new programs and activities for fans during Coca-Cola 600 race weekend and unveil the title sponsor’s new race logo.

NASCAR fans and volunteers will be able to compete alongside Hendrick Motorsports pit crews in meal packaging races on May 25 through the Drive to End Hunger Charlotte 1 Million.

This weekend at Darlington Raceway, Denny Hamlin’s No. 11 car will sport a special paint scheme honoring Hall of Fame member Cale Yarborough. The Timmonsville, S.C. native won 55 races in a car numbered 11.

Pocono Raceway will host the Pocono Celebrity Charity Poker Showdown, benefiting The NASCAR Foundation and the Armed Forces Foundation, being held on Thursday, June 7, at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs in Wilkes-Barre, PA.

Fueled by his run at Talladega Superspeedway this past Sunday, Michael Waltrip leaped into the 2012 Sprint Fan Vote top 10 (alphabetical) standings and forced rookie Aric Almirola to the outside.
