After a tough race in Kansas, the best medication would be a solid run in Richmond, VA. Mears and the GEICO team arrived at Richmond International Raceway on Friday poised for redemption and eager for a good result.

With 25 laps to go in the Capital City 400 NASCARSprint Cup Series race Saturday night at Richmond (Va.) International Raceway, Tony Stewart held a 2.06-second lead over second-place Kyle Busch.

Marcos Ambrose started the 400-lap NASCAR Sprint Cup Series event at Richmond International Raceway from the 14th position. Ambrose finished the Capital City 400 in 22nd.

Aric Almirola started the 400-lap NASCAR Sprint Cup Series event at Richmond International Raceway from the 11th position. Almirola finished the Capital City 400 in 26th.
