Iconic brand and thirst quenching favorite SunnyD will make its 2018 debut this weekend as the primary partner on Ricky Stenhouse Jr.’s No. 17 Ford Fusion for the NASCAR Cup Series race at Texas Motor Speedway. SunnyD will be featured on Stenhouse’s Ford the following week at Bristol Motor Speedway, and will also serve as the primary partner on Roush Fenway’s famed No. 60 NASCAR Xfinity Series Ford when racing phenom Ty Majeksi makes his Bristol debut.

Richard Childress Racing announced today that AstraZeneca, a global science-based biopharmaceutical company, has partnered with Richard Childress Racing and the No. 3 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for select races during the 2018 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. AstraZeneca's SYMBICORT® (budesonide/formoterol fumarate dihydrate) brand will be featured as primary sponsor on Austin Dillon's No. 3 Chevrolet beginning at Texas Motor Speedway on April 8. SYMBICORT will also be featured as an associate partner for the remainder of the 2018 season.

It’s safe to say the 2018 season hasn’t been particularly kind to Jimmie Johnson thus far. The seven-time Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series winner hasn’t tasted victory in 29 races, which is shocking considering his remarkable consistency in the past. Johnson has won 83 races over the course of his Hall of Fame-caliber career, but he’s been mired in a lengthy drought of late. In fact, it is the longest winless streak of his career to this point.

"The winter months can definitely change a new surface, and getting the cars back on the track and putting the rubber down again makes it a new racing surface. The track changes a lot, but more than anything, there’s a lot that no matter what race you go to, you can learn something good or bad. Texas last year, both of our cars had some good speed so hopefully we can go there and get some speed again out of the racecars and have good runs."
