Ford won its first Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway on March 31, 1963 when Fireball Roberts won the Southeastern 500. What made the win so noteworthy is that it marked the debut of Roberts with Ford as a teammate of Fred Lorenzen’s at Holman-Moody. 

In 164 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series starts at Bristol Motor Speedway, Richard Childress Racing boasts nine wins - seven with Dale Earnhardt, one with Kevin Harvick and one with Jeff Burton - three pole awards, 34 top-five and 67 top-10 finishes. 

1. Martin Truex Jr.: Truex won Stage 2, his 15th stage win of the season, and finished second at Michigan, passed on the final restart by a bold move from Kyle Larson. Truex leads the Monster Energy Cup points standings, and also leads with 35 playoff points.

Michigan, where winning was everything. Okay, points might have mattered for the likes of Chase Elliott, Jamie McMurray, Matt Kenseth, and Clint Bowyer, but for everyone else winning was the goal.

Kasey Kahne and Daniel Suarez's day ended on Lap 140 of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Pure Michigan 400 when the two collided in Turn 2 at Michigan International Speedway.

Brad Keselowski led a race-high of 105 laps, but got shuffled back on the final restart and wound up with a mediocre finish in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Pure Michigan 400 at Michigan International Speedway.

Recap: Competing at his home track at Michigan International Speedway (MIS), Brad Keselowski started from the pole in the No. 2 Miller Lite Ford Fusion and led a race-high 105 laps Sunday in the Pure Michigan 400 but the native of Rochester Hills, Mich., was not able to secure his first career Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series victory at the two-mile superspeedway located in the Irish Hills of Michigan.

Kyle Larson made 2017 his own celebration at Michigan International Speedway. He once again used a late-lap pass to win the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Pure Michigan 400.

In an exciting overtime restart of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) Pure Michigan 400 at Michigan International Speedway (MIS), Kyle Larson powered his No. 42 Target Chevrolet SS to the lead to capture his third consecutive win at the popular 2-mile venue. The victory was also Larson’s third thus far in the 2017 season, and fourth of his MENCS career.

Ryan Blaney and the Motorcraft/Quick Lane Racing team battled back from a flat tire and an untimely caution period late in the race to finish 15th in the Pure Michigan 400 at Michigan International Speedway.
