Camry driver Martin Truex Jr. captured his third win of the season in Saturday night’s race at Kentucky Speedway. Truex led a race-high 152 laps (of 267) and collected all stage wins, remaining the only driver to sweep all stages in a race this season.

Ryan Blaney and the Motorcraft/Quick Lane Racing team overcame several obstacles to finish the Quaker State 400 at Kentucky Speedway in 10th place in overtime.

Kyle Larson, driver of the No. 42 Target Chevrolet SS, battled back from a 40th starting position and a pit road speeding penalty to capture the runner-up finish in the Quaker State 400 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race at Kentucky Speedway.

JOEY LOGANO, No. 22 Shell Pennzoil/Autotrader Ford Fusion (Finished 8th) “We got a P8 out of a car that was probably not much better than 13th or 14th. We just have to get faster. The 78 and 18 were just - we aren’t even close. What I am trying to say is that we were really slow and need to get faster. That is the biggest thing. We need to pick up some speed. We just were scrapping, trying to get what we can. The team did a good job at least trying to scrap up something out of it but we just have to get faster than that.”

KYLE LARSON, NO. 42 TARGET CHEVROLET SS – Finished 2nd - YOU PASSED A TON OF CARS AND STILL CAME HOME WITH A GREAT FINISH: “Yeah, I sped on pit road there early. At the end of that first stage, so it felt very similar to Texas earlier this year. Didn’t get to qualify, had a pit road penalty at the end of the first stage. Went from the back to the front and then we had scuffs on one run and got the balance off pretty bad, but were able to put stickers on and charge back to the front. The Target Chevy was good. Truex though, never got to see him that last run he was upwards of 15 seconds ahead of us. That was pretty crazy. He has definitely been the fastest car all year. So, got some work to do, but if we can keep chasing him, I think we can beat him.”

Trevor Bayne, driver of the No. 6 Roush Performance Products Ford Fusion, battled inside the top 15 for much of the early portion of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) event at Kentucky Speedway on Saturday night, driving up to as high as the 11th position following a Lap 92 restart. However, contact with the No. 5 car on Lap 94 sent the Roush Fenway Racing Ford into the outside retaining wall, severely damaging the right rear and ultimately ending Bayne’s night early. Bayne is scored with a 37th-place finish.

SPARTA, Ky. -- Martin Truex Jr. put on a clinic in the Quaker State 400, leading the most laps and sweeping the stages, but had to out-duel the field in overtime to win for the third time this season at Kentucky Speedway.

RYAN BLANEY, No. 21 , No. 21 Motorcraft/Quick Lane Ford Fusion -- Qualified 6th “I thought we had good speed in our car. I really wish we could have gotten one more shot at it because we were getting better and better but we didn't get that third round, which stunk. I think our car has really good speed in it and we will see come tomorrow.”

JAMIE MCMURRAY, NO. 1 CESSNA CHEVROLET SS – QUALIFIED 4TH - DO YOU THINK YOU HAD A SHOT AT THE POLE? WOULD YOU HAVE RATHER RAN THAT FINAL ROUND OF QUALIFYING OR ARE YOU HAPPY WITH YOUR POSITION? “I don’t think you know unless you get to run. With it being a repave and the tire that we are on, tires, like having extra laps on them didn’t seem to hurt. The No. 20 car did that in the first round. We actually ran our best lap on our oldest tires there. Yes, we legitimately probably could have had a shot at the pole, but for us it was all about hitting Turn 3, that is just a really tricky corner and I only hit it one time and it was when it counted the most.”
