Whilst the 2016 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series has presented us with no end of drama, there can have been few more unfortunate moments than when it was announced that the three-times champion Tony Stewart suffered a painful back injury whilst riding a dune buggy in San Diego in January.

Roush Fenway Racing returns to Dover, Del. as the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) prepares to tackle “The Monster Mile,” Dover International Speedway for the second time in 2016, a track that has seen a Roush Fenway Ford visit victory lane 17 different times.

I hate change. Even good change can take a while to be appreciated. I did not like the Chase when it came out. I do now. I am still perturbed brand names like Firecracker 400 and World 600 were kicked to the curb to make a sponsor happy who obviously had no appreciation for the traditions of the sport. Then again, neither does NASCAR.

Heading into this weekend's event at the Dover International Speedway, the No.32 Can-Am/Kappa team will travel to "The First State" with Jeffrey Earnhardt behind the wheel for the 47th annual Citizen Soldier 400 at the 1-mile "Monster Mile" in Dover, Delaware.

When Ryan Blaney and the Motorcraft/Quick Lane Racing team unload this weekend at Dover International Speedway, they will be out to improve on their eighth-place finish at the track in May and continue its string of strong performances.
