Ever wondered what your favorite NASCAR drivers do on their downtime? Well, I cannot speak for all NASCAR stars, but Ryan Blaney and Bubba Wallace have an unusual way of having fun.

California native, AJ Allmendinger, will try to earn his second NASCAR Sprint Cup Series victory from the second starting position for Sunday’s Toyota Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway. The driver of the No. 47 Ralph’s/Kingsford Chevrolet SS laid down a lap of 95.676 mph/74.878 seconds, just shy of the pole winning time. This is the best start of the season for the man who hails from Los Gatos, California. Allmendinger has one prior NASCAR Sprint Cup Series victory on the road course in Watkins Glen, NY, but would love nothing more than to take his Chevy to Winner’s Circle in front of his hometown crowd.

Carl Edwards will lead the field to the green flag tomorrow afternoon after claiming pole position in wine country. The driver of the No. 19 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota scored the pole for the Toyota/Save Mart 350 after posting a time of 1:14.799 and a speed of 95.777 mph. It's his 19th career pole in 425 Sprint Cup Series starts, third pole of 2016 and first at Sonoma Raceway.

In the middle of what should have been an amazing weekend for Tony Stewart, Smoke has shown that he is had enough and Homestead can't get here soon enough for him. Coming off his solid run in Michigan, Stewart was running in the top-five in practice at Sonoma when he came up on slower cars heading into turn 11 and it set off the fireworks.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. led the final Sprint Cup Series practice on Friday at Sonoma Raceway with a high-speed of 95.298 mph. The driver of the No. 88 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet was fourth-fastest in the opening session at the Northern California road course.

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series hit the 1.99-mile road course in Sonoma, California today for two practice sessions prior to Sunday’s Toyota Save Mart 350. The No. 42 Target Chevrolet SS of Kyle Larson led the way in the first session with a fast lap of 95.141 mph/75.299 seconds. In the afternoon Dale Earnhardt, Jr. piloting the No. 88 Axalta Chevy SS topped the leader board by laying down a speed of 95.298 mph/75.175 seconds.
